The Opportunity
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) plays a key strategic and leadership role within Paragon’s construction team. Reporting directly to the President, the SPM oversees a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators (both field and administrative) and provides senior‑level direction across multiple multi-family residential construction projects. This includes ensuring alignment with Paragon standards, delivering projects on schedule and on budget, and supporting the professional development and performance of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to Project Managers, Field Project Coordinators, and Administrative Project Coordinators, ensuring consistent delivery and adherence to Paragon standards.
- Oversee project assignments, resource planning, and workload distribution across the entire project management and coordination team.
- Conduct performance oversight of Project Coordinators, ensuring clarity of responsibilities, alignment with project requirements, and opportunities for training and development.
- Lead internal project update meetings focused on schedule, budget, risks, coordination status, and overall project performance.
Project Governance & Oversight
- Oversee development of construction plans, including site layout, safety, logistics, scheduling, and quality requirements.
- Ensure project schedules are created and maintained, with Coordinators supporting schedule updates, documentation tracking, and action item follow‑through.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial risks while guiding PMs and Project Coordinators in applying mitigation strategies.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Champion and enforce Paragon’s safety policies and standards across all projects.
- Support Site Superintendents and PMs and Field Coordinators in addressing safety concerns or issuing disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are being followed, stepping in to resolve escalated quality issues when required.
Stakeholder Relations
- Oversee communication with consultants, trade partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in subcontractor negotiations and contract discussions.
- Ensure Coordinators maintain accurate documentation, communication logs, and reporting.
Project Delivery Excellence
- Ensure PMs and Coordinators manage RFIs, clarifications, change events, and change orders in a timely manner.
- Provide oversight during tendering, including scope development and bid evaluations.
- Guide PMs and Coordinators through project close‑out activities including commissioning, deficiencies, permit close‑out, and turnover.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in multi-family residential.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing Project Managers or multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and project planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Deep commitment to safety and quality excellence.

Compensation
$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
